Reviews for Atria Senior Living Properties

Atria Chandler Villas

"I liked Atria the best. My dad has a dog and an organ that he plays, and it allowed for both of those. There were a lot of open spaces and an outdoor patio area screened in. Those were the big draw. They have activities and food three times a day, dances, and trips to places and shopping. There were a lot of things going on. The people I dealt with were absolutely fabulous."

Atria Bell Court Gardens

"Atria Bell Court Gardens looks like my home. It is like a home and not institutional. I'm not too happy with the food, but everything else is 100%. All of the staff are very nice, very helpful, and friendly. I have a 600-plus-square feet apartment, and it is very nice. They have all kinds of exercises, classes, games, arts and crafts, making beads, same old things. You name it, they got it. If you are lonesome or bored here, it is your fault, not theirs."

Atria Golden Creek

"I do not care for Atria Golden Creek. It is nice, but it isn't very homey. My sister chose it for my mother because this particular Atria has a 2-bedroom unit, which is not very nice. However, this community overlooks a small stream, which is nice. As I peeked in the rooms, I'm thinking their units are laid out so much better than Mom's 2-bedroom. It seems so cramped and small. You couldn't get in a small sofa, a small TV set, and maybe a small chair. You couldn't fit more than a full-sized bed and a dresser. It is a tight squeeze. Because my mother needs an adjustable bed, that is all they could fit in her bedroom, and then they put a dresser in there to store her clothes in. The food is OK. It is just a typical institutional food. They would order off what is always on the menu, so it is always the same. You can vary it up a little bit, but it is always the same thing."

Atria Santa Clarita

"A little over six months ago my siblings and I made the difficult decision to remove my mother from her home and into Atria. My mother had been living in her home for over fifty years and had recently lost her husband. Her wish was to stay in her home. However, we noticed that she was becoming more reclusive, skipping meals, and not keep track of her medications. At Atria, my mother has her own apartment which gives her independence. She no longer has to prepare her own meals and looks forward to eating her meals with her new friends. The activities are numerous, some of which include, poetry reading, fitness such as Zumba, Tai Chi, etc., a movie in the theater every evening, many musical events, Bingo, etc. Each resident is given a list of the activities taking place the following day. My mother looks forward and joins in many of them. The med team at Atria is very responsible and makes sure my mother has the medicines she needs and that she takes them as scheduled by the doctor. The staff was extremely helpful during the first few days of my mother's residency. Being honest, it was difficult for my mother and I really wasn't sure that she would transition from living at her home for so many years and then coming to Atria. But, listening to the advice from staff members and following some of their suggestions, made the transition much smoother than I would ever have imagined. My mother is happy at Atria and that makes her children happy. Caroline"

Atria Walnut Creek

"We needed to be in a respite care situation for about 12 days and I found Atria Montego Heights for this purpose. I would be moving there by the 1st of August. We like their program. They seem to have covered all bases with everything that I would need. Their rooms are nicely furnished and there are rooms that are not too far from the elevator to go down for meals and so forth. During our visit, we mainly had dessert that they prepared and they gave us to take home and I thought it was excellent. We looked at the menus and everything that they have and it looked very nice. Also their staff was very nice and very considerate in trying to answer questions and seemed forthrightly."

Atria Valley View

"We went Atria Valley View. I didn't think the meal service was good, they weren't that friendly at lunch, we had lunch there, and the waitress wasn't that friendly. The person who gave the tour did quite well. I think the rooms were studios, there was a simple studio, and they had a studio deluxe. The plain studio wasn't large at all, in the deluxe studio, the bed was set back in, and you had to go around the partition to go to the bathroom. One man was playing the piano."

Eskaton Village Grass Valley Grass Valley, CA

"I recently moved my 89-year old mother into an assisted living apartment in the Lodge at Eskaton Grass Valley. From our first interaction, the staff have been great to work with; professional, caring, and thorough. The entire operation is first class and I think my mother is in a great situation with real caregivers."

Atria Covina

"We had a tour of Atria Covina. It's a very nice facility, very clean, and well-organized. They had buses available to bus people around. They did provide us with a box of pastries on our way out actually, and it was very good."

"The people who worked at Atria Del Sol are all really nice and very friendly. The place is clean and seems to be up to date. They have a pretty small elevator. It's very nice here."
