The Commons is Huntsville's first 55+ Active Adult Community and is very different from other apartments or retirement living options in our area. A 55+ Active Adult Community, like The Commons, is an age restricted community. That means we are required by the 1995 Housing for Older Persons Act to certify that 80% of our Members are age 55 or older. Because of this requirement, at least one Commons Member living in each apartment must be age qualified. This means your neighbors will have lifestyles, interests and stories like yours! At The Commons, there are no Homeowners Association fees, buy-in options, or entrance fees. All you pay is your monthly rent, and the cost for any of our optional offerings you choose to enjoy.We offer seven different floor plan options with various bedroom, bath, den, courtyard and balcony options. Our apartments range in size from a one-bedroom, one-bath at 692 square feet to a two-bedroom, two-bath with a den and patio or balcony at 1,325 square feet.

Nashville Christian Towers is a 175 unit community dedicated to providing senior adults a safe residence in a Christian environment. A location of residence for adults who are at least 62 years of age and live on a fixed income. Each member of our community is capable of providing for their daily life’s activities, along with the cleaning and care of their own apartment. Every apartment, designed with the at home comfort of our community members in mind, consist of a kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room. A stove and refrigerator are furnished, along with air conditioning, closet environment, carpeting and drapes. Rent is based on income, and includes electricity, water and a 24-hour emergency call system. Telephone and cable access is also provided, with monthly service being funded by each individual resident. Residents enjoy the many “commons area” that provide facilities for laundry, arts and crafts, fitness and recreation, while many more enjoy using the library, beauty/barber shop, post office, game room and community room. Several bank branches, restaurants, rug stores, grocery stores, churches and shopping centers are nearby, and the Towers community provides free transportation on a scheduled basis.
