Most people would rather stay in their own home and having a little (or a lot) of assistance with day-to-day activities allows seniors or disabled adults the ability to remain home, in their own surroundings and in the place they feel the most comfortable. We have been helping clients in the East Bay since 2005 and are part of a franchise and locally owned and operated. With AmeriCare, you can rest assured you or your loved one is getting the care they need by caregivers with a desire to help and a love for the work. SERVICES We offer many services that allow our clients to remain comfortably at home. Whether the need is one day a week (minimum of 3 hours) or 24/7 around the clock care; we are here for you! Prior to starting service, a personalized care plan is developed and updated as needed as care needs change. We are flexible and work with our clients and family members to ensure the best plan is in place at the most economical pricing. We communicate any changes in behavior to family members immediately and consider ourselves partners in care. Our services include: Companionship Meal Planning and Preparation Light Housekeeping Laundry Services Medication Reminds Transportation Services Grocery Shopping and Running Errands Assistance with Bathing, Dressing and Grooming Incontinence Care Transferring Continuous Personal Supervision Alzheimer’s Care Hospice Care Bed Bound Client Assistance CAREGIVERS Our caregivers must have at least two years of hands-on experience if personal care is required. We have a personalized screening system and verify legal work status, state certifications, check references and run a criminal background as well as a driving record check. There is an in-depth interview and face-to-face meeting with the caregiver to become familiar with them and their personality to better allow us to place them properly. In addition to the above, we encourage our clients and family members to interview a few different caregivers and to select the one that they feel the most comfortable with. Once the caregiver is selected, they will not be pulled away for other assignments. All caregivers are covered under our insurance, including criminal bond and if employee-based are covered under workers comp. Ongoing training is provided.
