Anderson Independent Home andersonindependentliving.com Sharon Anderson is a Registered Nurse (RN) and she has worked with the Mental Health population for more than 20 years. She has a passion and drive to provide housing for the homeless. Her motivation stems from helping to find her brother who had been missing and homeless for many years. Sharon has since found her brother who has a diagnosis of bipolar/schizophrenia and now manages his medications. He now safely resides in one of her personal care homes in the greater Houston area. Each resident brings their own unique personality to the group and her ability to interact with them is the foundation to the group’s ability to function as a family unit. Residents may have their own room or may share a room. Our residents are encouraged to be as independent as possible. Some may chose to work and others participate in an (IOP) Intensive Outpatient Program or and adult day program.
