Joy Assisted Living Welcome to Joy Assisted Living Community Since opening in 1995, Joy Assisted Living has been family owned and operated. Keeping things in the family allows us to become deeply involved with the residents and give each the personal attention they deserve. In everything we do, we strive to make our residents feel like part of the family. Joy Assisted Living is not a nursing home. We recognize that what most seniors really need is supervision, support, and occasional assistance. Joy Assisted Living offers gentle assistance with daily living activities from a qualified staff, 24 hours a day. We specialize in providing just the right level of supportive care. Our team is able to meet the needs of seniors, while still leaving them the freedom and independence that they desire. The building is handicapped accessible and conveniently all on one level, so there is no frustrating stairs or elevators. In 2001, we added an addition to the building that includes a private dining room, multi-functional activity room, and more spacious suites. Joy Assisted Living is not a nursing home. Joy Assisted Living offers an array of rooming options to fit every budget, including private and shared accommodations, as well as exceptional suites. Each room is fully furnished, unless the resident wishes to bring their personal furniture. All rooms are equipped with an intercom call system that is linked directly to the nurse’s station, so help is always just a call away. Rooms are available with private or shared bathrooms, and each room is provided with extended cable television service. Residents of Joy Assisted Living enjoy social opportunities that those living independently may not have. As part of our assisted living community, each resident can meet new friends and people with similar beliefs and values. Our new activity room features an oven, games, books, a television, a DVD player, and a VCR. It’s here that you will find residents playing bingo, watching movies, playing games, and more. This multi-functional area is great for socializing, but we also believe it is important to offer the chance to get out and explore the community. We have a full-time activities coordinator who plans trips to baseball games, Branson theaters, shopping malls, and other fun places in the Ozarks. At Joy Assisted Living, tasty, nutritious meals are carefully prepared and served in our two spacious dining rooms. All meals are prepared according to a menu created and overseen by a professionally licensed dietician. This insures that all health needs are met, and allows us to accommodate special dietary needs.
