Norwood Crossing We are a non-profit (501c3) senior living community located in Chicago's Norwood Park neighborhood. Our residential campus specializes in assisted living and memory support (including Alzheimer's and dementia care). For over 100 years, we have been dedicated to enhancing the independence and well-being of older adults. Assisted Living Our licensed Assisted Living facilities are well-suited for residents who want private accommodations, but require some assistance with day-to-day tasks. We offer a variety of attractive residences in a comfortable, home-like setting. Individual abilities are taken into consideration when evaluating a resident's need for assistance with everyday activities such as bathing, dressing, transportation and taking medications. Professionally-trained nurses and nurses' assistants are available around-the-clock, to provide just the right amount of supportive care, while at the same time encouraging each person to remain as independent as possible. Fees include delicious meals and snacks, participation in our wide-array of Life Enrichment activities, housekeeping, laundry and linen services along with a full schedule of special events and outings. As a resident, you'll enjoy a wide spectrum of activities, including book clubs, exercise programs, live entertainment, singing and a lively art program. Alzheimer's Care and Our Memory Support Program Norwood Crossing's memory support program is dedicated to meeting the daily needs of individuals in the middle to late stages of Alzheimer's disease and other types of dementias. Our compassionate staff is sensitive to the individual needs of our memory impaired residents and is committed to preserving the dignity and uniqueness of each person, and making them feel at home. Specially trained in dementia care, our Memory Support staff makes sure that your loved one receives the personalized care they deserve in a safe, secure and nurturing home-like environment.
