Seniors Helping Seniors - Orange County The concept is simple yet powerful - we match seniors that need some assistance with active seniors that want to help. Accepting help is often easier when the companion or caregiver is a peer who can relate on a personal level, someone who understands the desire to remain independent. We help seniors to continue activities they enjoy and remain safe in familiar surroundings. Often just a little help can make a big difference in the quality of life for a senior. Seniors Helping Seniors San Diego and Orange County is a family owned business. Sisters Sue Erskine and Doris Dorey and Sue’s daughter, Tricia Izadi own the company. All three are Certified Senior Advisors. Our Dad (Tricia’s grandfather) is our inspiration for launching Seniors Helping Seniors. He was an active, successful businessman who was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in his mid-70’s. As the illness progressed our family personally experienced the rewards and challenges of being family caregivers and providing respite for our stepmother who lovingly cared for our Dad at home. We understand and want to help with the issues often faced by family caregivers. We are certified by CAHSAH, the leading statewide home care association that has promoted quality home care services in California since 1966.Organizations that provide non-medical home care services in California are not required to be licensed. CAHSAH protects consumers through their certification process. Not all homecare agencies are certified. We carefully match our caregivers to the needs, personality, interests and cultural background of our clients. Then we personally introduce the caregiver to the client to ensure we have made a good match. We offer services any time, day or night, in both San Diego and South Orange County. Services are affordable and our pricing structure is simple with no minimum hours required. Call us today and we'll come out and talk with you to discuss your needs.

Tips for Evaluating Your Options
Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Seniorsite Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:
Tour the location:
Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.
Confirm the availability of required services:
Before you commit, make sure that the community offers all the services your senior needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.
Know the California regulations for living type:
Each state has its own laws and inspections processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the community(ies) you're considering.
