Extension of You Home Care Extension of You Home Care was started by our two founders, Haley Gray and Christine Schoaff. The company was born out of Haley's experience care giving for both of her parents simultaneously, while caring for four small children and working a full time job. Some of the caregivers that worked with her parents were fantastic. Some of them were not. Some of them outright neglected Haley’s father who had dementia and Parkinson’s, leaving him sitting in a soiled diaper for hours, and leaving him alone while on duty. Haley spent hours talking to the exceptional caregivers trying to understand what motivated them, and what didn’t. It became clear that most of the good caregivers consider this line of work to be a calling. So, the question became—how do we attract and retain the industry’s best and most caring caregivers? We surveyed a number of caregivers and other personnel in the industry to understand what was important to them. Then we set about to start a company that provided those things most important to the caregivers. Haley also interviewed a number of other clients, geriatric care managers, pharmacists, and others to discover best practices in the industry. As part of Haley's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Masters program at Duke University, she used this research to create a business plan. Extension of You had begun. The agency incorporates both high-tech and low-tech approaches to the caregiving services they provide. Clients have better access to supervisors, supervisors routinely conduct random, unannounced drop-ins, and a note-book sharing system is used to provide communication between caregivers and client's loved ones. What this means for you is this—we aim to provide the best of both worlds: better care for our clients and a better work environment and conditions for our employees. It is quite simply, a win-win. This agency has an amazing team of caregivers and managers. Everyone’s first priority is customer safety and satisfaction. We aim to be an Extension Of You, to make sure that Your Standards Are Realized. Get Costs

Tips for Evaluating Your Options
Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Seniorsite Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:
Tour the location:
Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.
Confirm the availability of required services:
Before you commit, make sure that the community offers all the services your senior needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.
Know the California regulations for living type:
Each state has its own laws and inspections processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the community(ies) you're considering.
