Cheryl Talcof, President and Director of Nursing, is a seasoned Registered Nurse with over 35 years of nursing experience. Cheryl oversees all client care and all caregivers. Hahn Home Health Care Inc. delivers personal care services, companion, homemaking, geriatric, Alzheimer`s, maternal / infant, cardiac, post-surgical / wound, pediatric, diabetic, intravenous, and hospice services, medication set ups, and wellness checks. For most of us, home is a place of caring companionship and comfort. When a temporary or chronic health issue arises that doesn`t require hospitalization, we`d rather be cared for in our own home. Here are a few things we like to think make us different from others; Employee Selection Process: All of our care givers are Hahn Home Health Care Inc. employees, not contractors! All of our employees are bonded, have undergone a pre-employment drug test and then are subjected to random drug test through out their employment with us. They have produced professional references and they were checked! All credentials of our employees, both Nurses and CNA/HHA, had their credentials verified. Training: We provide unmatched staff training to ensure that all our caregiver / employees are ready to deliver capable, compassionate, and committed care. All Hahn employees are required to complete our rigorous training program. No employee is ever dispatched to a client`s home without having completed all the training units. All training is performed in the Simulation Lab in our office, where all instructors are seasoned Registered Nurses. All Hahn caregivers must pass a written test, and have their skills evaluated and sharpened to Hahn Way standards. All Hahn nurses must also pass a medication test. Our training blocks consist of; Total Body Care (including proper bathing techniques, hygiene, etc), Dementia / Alzheimer`s care, caring for people recovering from an orthopedic event, from a Cardiac Event, from a Stroke, for people with new-onset and chronic diabetics, and for a Paraplegic / quadriplegic We use caregiver evaluations to determine caregiver strengths and weaknesses, and we leverage these evaluations when assigning a care giver to a client, to ensure a caregivers skill set matches the clients needs. Care Management: All Hahn clients are assigned a nurse to manage their case and their caregiver. This is done at no additional charge to the client. The Nurse will accompany the caregiver to the clients house on the first visit and will make periodic unannounced visits to check in on the client & the caregiver.
