Home Helpers - Great Mills Caregivers will assist clients with activities such as laundry, running errands, personal care, companionship, transportation, light housekeeping, and meal preparation. The duties and the hours of service are tailored to each individual client. Primarily, the caregiver ensures the client is safe, secure and comfortable which includes socializing with the client. This service helps keep the client socially active, which generally leads to healthier well being and therefore more peace of mind for the client's family members. Some additional services may also be set up such as daily telephone checks and arranging of other services outside the scope of Home Helpers via reputable referrals (lawn care, tax aid, maid service, garbage pickup, repairs, etc). Tips for Evaluating Your Options
Safety is a primary concern when seniors and their families look for Seniorsite Living. To ensure that a community meets your needs and expectations, we recommend that seniors and family members:
Tour the location:
Touring allows you to speak to current residents and staff, and helps you confirm the accuracy of the community description and photos. Use our touring checklist to help guide your visit.
Confirm the availability of required services:
Before you commit, make sure that the community offers all the services your senior needs, and that those services can be provided within your budget.
Know the California regulations for living type:
Each state has its own laws and inspections processes to ensure seniors reside in a safe environment. Depending on your state, you may even be able to look up inspection reports for the community(ies) you're considering.
