Manos Referral Services Manos Home Care has been serving seniors and adults with disabilities since 1989-one of the oldest home care aide organizations in the Bay Area. Our home care aides perform a wide variety of tasks, including personal care, cooking, cleaning, laundry, and errands for clients in their homes. We also assist with medication, physical exercise programs, and have a wheel-chair lift van for clients who need such transportation. Our pre-assignment training includes RN-led sessions on body mechanics, where an RN evaluates our aides for transfer skills of all types, including gait belts, sliding board, hoyer lift, and other home care skills. An all-day customer service training, featured in a national health care training conference, reviews the basic features of quality home care: understanding quality home care through the customers' perspective, home care problems and their solutions, communication, hygiene, and personal appearance. Aides are trained in CPR and First Aide by a certified trainer.Our agency has several contracts from major medical institutions, including Alta Bates Summit Medical Center, Area Agency on Aging, Adult Protective Services, Regional Center of the East Bay, and others, demonstrating our quality of care meets the standards of the East Bay's major medical establishments.
