McDowell Village Our community offers the unique blend of senior living, senior recreation and the Granite Reef Senior Center, all in one location right in Scottsdale. This is truly an active, independent senior living community in beautiful surroundings, with elegant interior décor and amenities. We do include two meals a day, housekeeping, maintenance, all utilities except phone, transportation, lots of activities and entertainment and a great physical and brain fitness program. As pretty as the brochure is, the community is much nicer. The very best thing about McDowell is the wonderful residents we have. They are truly a vibrant, energetic, charming group and are warm and welcoming to all our newcomers.
