Quality In-Home Care - Jackson Quality In-Home Care Specialists can assist you and yours with just about everything you might need to maintain the activities of daily living in your home. We know it can be challenging if you are experiencing declining health or are faced with a serious illness or long-term disability. It's equality difficult if you are the loved one of a declining elder. The forgoing is a sample of what services we offer. Homemaker/Companion Assistance with meal preparation and clean up, laundry (which includes washing, drying and folding.) Linen change includes stripping and remaking the bed. Light housekeeping means maintaining the home in a clean and orderly state. Grocery plus misc. shopping. Transportation to Dr. visits or just going for a ride to feed the ducks or do a little sight seeing, play cards or go to the movies. The attendant is there to assist in making life a little easier and a little more pleasurable. (No personal care) Personal Care Assistance with personal hygiene, showering or bathing, hair washing and curling if appropriate. Dressing. Getting ready to enjoy the day. The level of assistance is determined at the time the in- home assessment is done. This level of assistance includes personal assistance as well as the same assistance the homemaker provides. Bath Visit This is a special visit designed to provide assistance with a bath or a shower, hair grooming, finger and toenails cleaned and filed, painted if you like, along with a good old fashioned foot rub. Cream the skin and massage the legs. This service can be used for anything within the first 1.5 hour visit. Sleep Over This service has been created to keep clients safe during the nighttime hours to prevent un-necessary falls due to being disoriented and groggy when getting up to use the restroom. This is a 12- hour shift allowing the Care Provider 6-8 hours of sleep in a private bed. They will get up with the client whenever the client needs to. Example: The shift runs from 6:00 P.M. to 6:00 A.M. or any combination of time that works best for the client. There would be 2 hours to get ready for bed and if timed right 2 hours to get the client up in the morning and ready for the day. Transportation This service is for shopping trips, doctor visits or any trip the individual might need to make. It does not include any other services. If the attendant uses the clients car the charge is hourly only. If the client uses the attendants car there is a charge for mileage plus hourly rate. Short Shifts These shifts are for 2 to 3.9 hours and can be used for either skilled care or Homemaker/Companion. Short Shifts are a higher rate.
