Our services include: Personal Care (bathing, dressing, eating, toileting, transfers, etc.) Hospital and Rehab Discharge Assistance Respite Care (aimed at giving family a break) Dementia Care (visit our website to see our “Senior Gems” program) Hospice Care (we work with hospice agencies to provide extra support – so family can be family) Errands, Appointments, Groceries and Transportation Light housekeeping Medication reminders Peace of Mind Visits (POMV) Companionship & Conversation Special events (weddings, outings) Transition Services (from home to home) Why Senior Helpers? Whether you are looking for a one-time service, a few days, or a weekly schedule, we are able to provide a CareGiver for 1hour up to 24hrs/7days. We provide a FREE in-home consultation…on your schedule – evenings or weekends are fine. We will then work with you to define a plan that meets your needs. Our office staff answers our phones 24hrs/7days – no answering machine or answering service. You connect directly with us. Our office staff maintains consistent communication and supports all CareGivers 24hrs/7days – if there’s an issue, our CareGivers know we are there to support them. All office staff members are experienced and capable…and committed to supporting our clients and our CareGivers. CareGiver’s are matched based on a Client’s needs, personality, skill level and schedule time. We have been awarded “Provider of Choice” annually since 2011 by Home Care Pulse (an outside agency that rates home care companies). Senior Helpers provides professionally developed and up to date training designed for our CareGivers, our office employees, family members providing care, and the greater community. Our hiring standards meet or exceed all PA Dept. of Health requirements. Announced and unannounced quality assurance visits by our Client Services Manager (Gwenn) or our Owner (Tracey) are part of our ongoing efforts to identify opportunities to continually improve. Screening Every CareGiver has been interviewed in person. Every CareGiver has been tested for competency/skill level. Employment and personal references are contacted. All employees are background checked. All employees receive annual tuberculosis screening. All employees receive annual training & competency review. All employees have a car, PA driver’s license and car insurance. We require current car insurance and we check motor vehicle records annually. We confirm all CareGivers are legally authorized in USA.
