Talmage Terrace/Lanier Gardens Is this your business? Lanier Gardens, Athens' first retirement community, offers one-bedroom apartment homes. A large number of apartments are eligible for rental assistance through the Federal government's Department of Housing and Urban Development program. Because of the assistance provided under this program, we must follow published income limits when renting to qualified applicants. Lanier Gardens has a mandatory meal program provided in our beautifully appointed dining room seven days a week. Additional optional services available include participation in the Wellness Clinic and cable television service.
