Much different than our competition, we design customized care for individuals to help ease them through lifestyle transitions and to enhance their happiness and sense of well-being. We provide individual assistance with eating, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene, laundry, housekeeping, ambulating and assistance with medications. Our services are not as intensive or available to residents as the care offered in a nursing home. However, our residents receive the traditional care they need, while maintaining much of their independence and dignity in a safe and secure place they can call home. Our program directors combine educational and personal experience in the field of geriatrics to provide better care for those seniors that do require assistance. Tanglewood staff strives to provide the necessary tools and resources to foster a more individualized approach to daily living. The activities are tailored to the individual resident, making sure that it meets their needs according to their personal physical and cognitive abilities. We create a service plan for each individual resident upon admission. This service plan details the personalized services required by the resident and guaranteed by Tanglewood. With our routine wellness monitoring, the plan is updated regularly to assure that the resident receives the appropriate care as his or her condition changes. Caring for someone is both a science and an art and requires good observation and people skills. A good caregiver understands these elements and blends them accordingly. Here at Tanglewood, we have spent a considerable amount of time thinking about the nature and the scope of work duties required of our caregivers and we train them accordingly before they interface with our residents. Also, we know that our residents and their family members are our customers. We hire and develop our support team with that as one of our major underlying principles. We also provide our staff with the most current educational material within our industry.
